Why go on a Russ Burden Photo Safari to Tanzania?

1. Maximum number of participants is six. Each person will have an entire row in the safari vehicle for 360 degree photography opportunities.
2. With only two vehicles, when something great happens, we all get opportunistic angles.
3. Permits are purchased for both the Ngorongoro Conservation Area AND Serengeti National Park. If an animal is spotted in one area, we're allowed to cross boundary lines to photograph all species we see.
4. We go INTO the Ngorongoro Crater for 4 full sessions. Driving the rim of the crater IS NOT the same as having a permit to do a game drive IN the crater. Beware of the safari operator who simply drives the rim and does not purchase the necessary permit to go inside the Crater where the animals are concentrated.
5. Permits are purchased for TWO DAYS to go to the Gol Kopjes. The Gol Kopjes are synonymous with unsurpassed big cat sightings. Additionally, if the migration is in the Gol Kopje area, we'll be provided multiple sessions following the animals.
6. The price - you won't find a better bargain for the photo expertise you'll receive in addition to the knowledge of the tour leaders.
7. Russ will be joined by a second professional photographer who has logged much safari experience and rides in the second vehicle. Instruction, photographic guidance, and important reminders of what to do and look for will always occur. The participant to instructor ratio will never exceed 3 to 1.
8. All deluxe meals during the safari are included in the cost.
9. Flights within Tanzania are included as well as all transportation while in the Serengeti.
10. The tour vehicles have unlimited gas mileage so we can drive where we want - beware of a company that limits your miles.
11. The drivers know the area inside out and are flexible as to where they can go.
12. The drivers are highly skilled professionals. They are trained for photographers. They know how to approach each subject for the best light.
13. Russ's tenacious enthusiasm and motivation are contagious and you'll most certainly catch it.
14. Russ's wildlife images have gained world wide recognition in Nature's Best and are sold world wide through Getty Stock.
15. Russ had lead nature photo tours in the US for over 30 years. Russ has been to Africa multiple times as a tour leader and photographic instructor.
16. You'll experience photographic bliss every day of the safari.
17. Tanzania is THE safari country to visit. While it's a bit more expensive than others, the people are welcoming and it's a safe travel destination.
