Mountain Goats, Alpine Scenery, Garden Of The Gods

.....The lure of Mount Evans is special. Its breath taking views are unrivaled. Sunrise and sunset have to be experienced as words can not express the beauty. Mix in the amazing 2000 year old bristlecone pine forest and the thought of ever driving back down the mountain is hard to reconcile. But the even bigger attraction of Mount Evans is the wildlife. The stars of the show are the majestic mountain goats. Acclimated to humans, they readily pose. If you want photos that show interaction between adults, interaction among the babies, and nursing babies, join me on this tour.

.....Not only will you be treated to astounding encounters with mountain goats, I'll also bring you to places to capture images of big horn sheep, marmots sunning themselves, pikas gathering nesting material, ptarmigan walking the tundra, and lots of other great species. As if this is not enough, we'll also visit high mountain lakes and flowing river cascades. Given the infinite number of photographs that can be made on Mount Evans, ten of our twelve photography sessions will be held on the mountain.

.....The access road to the summit of Mount Evans is the highest paved road in North America. It passes through 3 life zones as it ascends to the pinnacle. At 14,000 feet of elevation, it's essential you can handle the altitude. Check with your doctor and have this approved. It will also be cold and windy at the summit. Don't let the fact the tour runs in August fool you. A list of required clothing and other necessities will be supplied to those who register for the tour.

.....Garden of the Gods is a scenic gem about an hour south of Denver. I liken it to a mini Utah with regards to its red rock terrain. Images of Gateway Rock, Cathedral Rock, Kissing Camels, Balanced Rock and more await those who attend. First light on the red rock formations makes the stone appear as if its lit from within. Garden of the Gods is a registered National Natural Landmark and its towering sandstone rock formations stand tall against the backdrop of Pikes Peak. It's a scenic gem that is unsurpassed in what it offers. Our tour begins at Garden of the Gods with a sunset session followed by a sunrise the following morning to provide the adventurous photographer with a bit of photographic diversity other than what Mount Evans has to offer.

Cost: $2,199.00 + $399.00 for single supplement. Price includes lodging based on double occupancy, ground transportation from the point of origin, entrance fees into parks while on the tour, photographic instruction, and knowledge and expertise of each location.
